Connecting to the Radio Engineering VPN

When connecting to the VPN for the first time via the FortiClient, follow the instructions below. If you have not yet downloaded the FortiClient, please follow the First Time VPN Access steps to reset your temporary password and download the FortiClient software.

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Launch the FortiClient Console via the shortcut on your desktop or the green shield icon in your task bar.



  2. Click on the "Remote Access" Tab on the left hand side.

  3. Enter your user name and permanent password. Click Connect.

    Your VPN Client may not show a profile immediately. If your client does not look like the screenshot below within a few hours of installing the client, please contact engineering.



  4. You will be prompted to enter the code from your hardware token. Press the grey button on the token and enter the numbers on the screen. Press Connect or hit enter.

  5. In a few moments, it should say you are connected. You can close the VPN window and it will remain connected. The green shield icon in your task bar will display a padlock when you are connected. At this point you should be able to access all of the internal resources assigned to your account.
