Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Open the Windows Start Menu. Find the NewsBoss folder. Open the NewsBoss Configuration Wizard.

    You will need to enter an administrator password to run the program. This will be the standard .\wpr user on most machines. If this does not work for you, please contact engineering.




  2. Click Next



  3. Click Next
  4. Remove 144.92.192.59  from the "Faircom Server Name" text box, and replace it with newsboss.wpreng.net.



  5. Click Next 
  6. Remove 144.92.192.59  from the "Library File" text box, and replace it with newsboss.wpreng.net.

    1. If you accidentally delete the whole box, copy the full text below into the Library File text box.

      \\newsboss.wpreng.net\audio\wavelibs\wavelibs.ini


  7. Click Next. You may see the error shown below. Click Yes.

  8. Remove 144.92.192.59  from the "Server" text box, and replace it with newsboss.wpreng.net.



  9. Click Next. You will see an error. This is normal. Click Yes.
  10. Remove 144.92.192.59\lex  from the "User Dictionary Path" text box, and replace it with newsboss.wpreng.net\lex



  11. Click Next. You will get another error. This is normal. Click Yes.


  12. Your screen should now display "Completing the NewsBoss Configuration Wizard." Click Finish.



You have now completed the NewsBoss reconfiguration wizard. If you have not yet configured your VPN connection to access NewsBoss, take some time now to do so by following the guides below.
